Born in New York on 4th November 1969, Sean Combs grew up with a single parent mother. His Father, Melvin was shot dead during his service in the U.S military force when he was only 2. Sean Comb’s mother, Janice, worked as a teacher’s assistant and a freelance model.
After graduating from Roman Catholic Mount Saint Michael Academy in 1987, Combs took a business major at Howard University.

In late 1997, he decided to change his stage name from Combs to Puff Daddy and release his own debut single titled “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down” that later became such a huge hit and took the first place on the billboard hot 100 charts.
His debut album “No Way out” was released in July 1997 and sold over 561,000 copies in the first week. The album earned five nominations for the prestigious Grammy Music Awards.
Move forward to 2005, Combs once again change his stage name to P Diddy and took a step to an acting career in his first-ever acting debut film “Carlito’s Way: Rise to Power”.
He also took some MC gigs in MTV VMA (Video Music Awards) in 2005 and named as one of the influential public figures of 2005.
